Today's episode is with one of my favorite bloggers, Amanda Rodriguez. You may recognize her as the Dude Mom. Amanda is a humor blogger at dudemom.com. She is the mom of three sons - or dudes. She's married to her college sweetheart. She has contributed to other websites and programs, including the Today Show.

Amanda's first book is out TODAY! You can grab it where you buy your favorite books. It's called 50 Things to do in Baby's First Year: The First-time Mom's Guide for your Baby, Yourself and Your Sanity. The book is different than your typical baby book - because it ties in humor and real, simple tips you didn't realize you needed. From nursing and teething to managing anxiety and finding support.

I wanted to talk to Amanda because she is someone who has found so much joy in raising her kids. In this episode, we talk about the good times and the harder times with the dudes. We also chat about how losing her mom recently has impacted her, how she's stayed mom while dealing with grief and the simple things she - and her mom for that matter - did to cultivate a strong bond with their kids.

We laughed, we cried - I think you'll love this conversation.
